Chandler Renee - 7 months

Once again, a little late on this monthly update. We are just crazy busy and our little girl is busy growing up! This month she was extremely busy moving around. She started a real crawl... and then she began crawling FASTER and pulling up on EVERYTHING. She's giving us lots of exercise chasing her around. Of course, she wants to get into everything she's not supposed to... our shoes, electrical chords, electrical outlets... you get it. We cleared up her "tummy troubles" at the beginning of the month, thankfully. She's stayed healthy the rest of the month. When she started pulling up she started falling down a lot.. but it only took a few days for her to figure out how to get down. Now she's a pro.

She began eating real food this month. We decided to not do pureed foods and start with something called "Baby Led Weaning." Basically, she feeds herself from the beginning. She's done a great job with it. She's tried and loved everything we've given her. Bananas, avocados, green beans, carrots, cucumbers, pears, apples. She may have turned it down on the first try, but after day 2 and 3 she enjoys it! We're proud of our non-picky eater and hope she stays that way.

This month we did a little traveling to Ghana to visit with friends. We had a great time on the coast there. We also helped throw a baby shower for our friend expecting a little girl in December. It was good to take a little break from language and speak English.

Chandler Renee - two months

Happy two months to our sweet girl! This month has been lots of fun with her. She's now over 11 pounds, in the 80%ile for height & weight and 99%ile for head size. Baby girl has a big brain :) This month she has started to smile LOTS and "talking" lots! She also started to roll from her tummy to her back. She has awake time in the mornings and evenings and takes small cat naps in between. She does a great job at night sleeping 7-9 hours most nights. It's unusual if she wakes up in the middle of the night.

This month she stayed at home with her BB so we could celebrate our third wedding anniversary. She even took a bottle, which she doesn't do very often. She also got her first shots, spent time at the beach, stayed in the nursery at church, and was dedicated at church on Mother's Day.

Chandler Renee - One Month

Happy One Month to our sweet little girl! Wednesday we celebrated 4 weeks of her being born, but since today is the 13th and she was born on the 13th, she's officially one month today. She's a growing girl! She's over 9 pounds now and 21 inches long. She's in the 97%ile for her head size and 89%ile for her weight. She's practicing holding her head up daily during tummy time & while she's burping. She's begun to stay awake a lot more during the day and is treating mommy & daddy nicely at night. In fact, the other night she slept 7 hours straight! She is becoming a world traveler, too! We got her passport this week and will be sending off for her visa on Monday.

This month she celebrated her first holidays - St. Patrick's Day & Easter. She's taken her first road trips - between Pensacola & Panama City and to New Orleans. She also spent time at my family's beach house in Gulf Shores, along with enjoying her first days at the beach.

baby shower

We are so blessed with family and friends all over the US. One of the best parts is that most of them live in the Florida panhandle. Everyone was so excited for us to have a baby and could not wait to spoil her. We had so many people get things for our little girl and send them to Africa when Trey's dad & Dustin visited. Once we got home my family held a baby shower for our little girl in Pensacola and then our church had a shower in Panama City. I thought we were loved, but I think this little girl is the favorite in our family :) Here's just a few pictures from the showers.
